Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

Registered in Japan 2007, imported 2021 and converted 2022.
2.4L automatic petrol engine
30MPG on a long run, less on hills/cities
Very good engine, we always sail through MOTs
Very little corrosion on the vehicle, under sealed when imported, mechanics are impressed with the quality of the chassis for vehicle age
MOT until July 2024 and has been recently serviced, service and MOT history can be seen
New tyres fitted 6000 miles ago
Exterior bodywork is generally good, however there are a few scratches from a minor incident with a trolley park in Italy and a boulder in Cornwall, I also knocked a parking sensor out of it’s hole too so at the moment it isn’t fully functional – apparently this is very easy to fix, I have just been too busy with a new baby to fix this
The condition of the alloys isn’t the best but again this is cosmetic they are still fully functional, they are not cracked

Conversion Description

A growing family means we are forced to make a reluctant sale of our beloved Alph the Alphard!
We lovingly hand built Alph ourselves in 2022 after importing her from Japan and have yet to see another one the same, the layout is truly unique and we found it to be perfect and super functional both for short trips away and a longer 3 month adventure in Europe.
The conversion itself is made from wood throughout, with wood panelling, and thick marine ply for the bed base, the drawers have been finished with hessian and gold handles and fasteners to hold them in place when driving to avoid annoying rattles.
We went for an L-shaped sofa inside which converts to a full size double bed, the cushions are professionally upholstered in a greeny-blue hard wearing fabric, the seats make for a comfy sofa in the day and transform into a perfect cosy bed for two by night. We designed a slatted pull out system for the bed which is easy to use. Under the sofa is lots of storage that can be easily accessed and the storage unit toward the back doubles as a headboard. The drawers to the back slide either way so can be accessed from inside or outside of the van, and there are a few little nooks for extra storage. We loved that both side doors opened on Alph so each person can climb out in the night no clambering over one another, I also loved sitting on the sofa reading a book with the door open beside the sea.
The ‘kitchen’ is another unique design, a 2 burner gas hob and grill is in a spinning shelf on the back of the storage unit, there’s plenty of room for food prep back here too and we have even managed a 6 course meal on the go! The gas and water are stored under the spinning shelf, a campinggaz907 fits perfect. 4 small ikea crates fit neatly to give extra storage for pots and pans and food and I insisted on a little wine rack in the back unit too. We loved that the kitchen was out the back as it meant your bed is always free from cooking smells, and one person could lounge in bed whilst waiting on their coffee to be passed over the hatch, the tailgate kept us dry when cooking too and we always got a lot of compliments on the design from intrigued passers by.
We stuck with the original electrics throughout so there are lights on a dimmer switch, already hard wired to the vehicle and a drop down DVD player which works perfectly.
Under the passenger seat is a 100 Ah leisure battery which easily ran a USB charging port and fridge. The electrics were self done and are not a perfect finish, we intended to tidy it up but never got round to it as it is perfectly functional.
Alph has a plushy interior up front with super comfy seats, honestly they’re like arm chairs, a stylish ‘walnut’ finish on the dash and a built in sat nav – we left this to the original Japanese settings but many Alphard owners say this is an easy replacement… I just liked the lady who talks to me in Japanese when I start the car so we left it in. There is so much extra storage around and about in Alph, such as huge door side bins, a big central box between the two seats up front and a generous drop down in the dashboard.
We have truly loved this van and we have made so many happy memories in it! The conversion is truly one of a kind and worth a view as we think it could be a perfect van for you!

Beds Description

A full size double bed can be easily made from the L-shaped sofa set up. The sofa cushions transform into the mattress, they are extra thick and provide a very comfy night’s sleep. The cushion covers were professionally upholstered and have zips to make them machine washable. The back storage unit doubles as a head board, and it feels very cosy inside.
