Bert the Berlingo Microcamper

Bert features a flexible, modular “bootjump” conversion system, professionally built and fitted Coastal Campers Oban conversion unit. During the day, it functions as an everyday 5-seater MPV. The unit is able to be removed relatively easily but we’ve always left it as we’ve had plenty of room with it in. However, it it is still technically a standard unmodified car for insurance purposes.

For camping, the rear seats fold down to allow the unit to unfold into a comfortable table set up, and the the front seats fold down to convert fully into a double bed. There is under-bed storage for a cooking kit and the rest of your gear gear. For us it was exactly what we wanted with being able to switch daily run around and a weekend camper, without the extra insurance costs of a converted van camper.

We’re including a rear awning designed specifically Citroen Berlingos and made by Redcote Leisure as well as the other bits and pieces: heavy-duty electric hookup extension cable for outdoor 230V site connections, folding camping table, camping stove, cool-box, , 10L water container, and full blackout privacy blinds (again these are designed specifically to fit perfectly in the Citroen Berlingo windows, and were provided by Coastal Campers with the boot jump).

Roof bars and the bike racks are included, but there is also space for a half-width roof-box for extra storage, or the bike racks can be easily removed if you wanted to use the roof racks for something else.
