Originally a 2009 model, it underwent a remarkable 18-month conversion by the previous owners in 2020. I bought the van in 2024 and spent 2 years travelling around, living the nomadic dream.
Now, moving into my new phase of life, it’s time to pass on Big Red to a new owner who will cherish this dreamy home on wheels as much as I have.

The van truly is a perfect home on wheels, a companion for van dwellers, explorers or people seeking a little piece of that #vanlife. Also perfect for holidays or rental businesses, a van of this type will easily rent for £200 a night in peak season. It is a permanent 2 berth with the ability to sleep 1 on the sofas, so perfect for couples, a small family or a solo nomad wanting that additional space.

Mercedes Sprinters are well known for their durability and engine longevity.
Big Red will definitely be running for 100,000s of more miles without any issues. Regularly maintained/ serviced and has recently had a new battery.

The van is fully equipped and suitable for camping holidays or sports activities! The van has a roof rack and viewing deck that also houses the solar panel – ideal for those starry nights or a place to hold sporting equipment.

I lived in the van with my cat so there’s small adaptions to suit.

Electronics:
The cab boasts Bluetooth connectivity (Android – CarPlay), a reversing camera, and electric windows for convenience.
Stay connected and work remotely with a built-in 5G WiFi router featuring dual SIM slots, alongside USB and UK power sockets for all your electronic needs. Also included is a Starlink worth £300.

Garage:
Big Red boasts a custom-built double bike rack located on the side of the van. But it’s not just for bikes – it doubles as a pull-out shelf, making it a breeze to access everything stored at the back.

Description of Seating:
There are three belted seats in the front (including driver) with head rests. All 3 seats have three-point belts. Both of the passenger’s seats are suitable for a child car seat using the belt.

Conversion Description
Conversion Overview:
– The van has been insulated with Thinsulate EVERYWHERE (fire resistant, anti-mould, anti-condensation and Sound deadening) and holds the heat very well.
– Chinese diesel heater (connected directly to the main fuel tank) with 2 points of heating (one of them under the bed, so be ready to enjoy warm and cozy nights!) and the option to be controlled with a remote or to automatically turn on with a timer. This will definitely keep you warm during the colder months and environments.
– 1 powered skylight (great for getting some fresh air inside AND to get rid of cooking smells) and 1 non-powered skylight.
– The van has four tinted windows 1 way view film installed for complete privacy and blinds, 2 big on the sides and two small on the back doors, allowing for lots of natural lights inside.
– Lots of storage space: 7 overhead cabinets, a full-size cupboard for clothing with a mirror, 8 more different sizes cabinets and drawers, under the seats storage too, and obviously the garage!
– Solid wood countertops

– 240v UK standard sockets and 12v USB charging points all over the van
*Big Red comes with all the cables and adapters for plugging in.

Gas:
Professionally installed gas system with all of the required drop-out zones, etc. The 13KG LPG tank is safely stored within a gas safety cabinet in the garage and has a gas level meter installed. This powers the stove, oven, and hot water system. It costs around 6-7 EUR to fill up at pretty much any service station and will easily last 4-5 weeks.

Plumbing:
There is a 200-litre water tank that supplies water to the sink via a pump. The grey water tank is 50 litres. Big Red comes with one internal and one external shower (brilliant for beach days and muddy paws!!). Hot showers (inside and outside) can be had using the water heater; simply by flicking the switch under the sink.

Bathroom:
With a shower and chemical toilet, this van is the ideal camper to take off grid. The toilet can be emptied in most camp sites, petrol stations, etc The internal shower has excellent water pressure. Sleek matte black style, with possibility to pull out the shower head and put onto fixed hang point.

Kitchen:
The kitchen comes fully equipped with two gas hobs, an oven with grill (Say hello to pizza nights!!), a 50L two-way fridge, a sink with hot and cold tap options, and some kitchen equipment to get you started including a kettle.

Extra Key bits:
– Projector (movie nights, yay!)
– Hoover with different attachments for the different surfaces
– Lagoon table with 2 mounting points (can be used as a standing desk too)
– Back door mosquito net
Big Red comes with all the bits and bobs you could possibly need, ready to take off on the next adventure. This includes:

**To be noted:
– Big Red has a few small dents and wear and tear. However, this does not affect in any way the van, it is purely cosmetic. There are also other minor scuffs as expected in an adventure camper van 🙂

Beds Description
The van sleeps up to 3 people:
– The bed is wider than a standard double and has a premium mattress for super cosy nights.
– A single conversion bed can easily be made from the back seats (perfect for a single person, children or pets).

I have loved this van so much. It was a dream of mine for many years. It’s with a heavy heart to pass it on but truly I have loved it so much. I hope you can have as many adventures and enjoy Clifford as much as me.
