Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

Rugged on the outside, luxurious on the inside. This Ford Transit Campervan has been newly converted to a high level professional standard throughout. I’ve designed and built the van with the full intention of keeping it for many years and using it right through the winter months in the French alps, it is therefore fully prepared for cold weather and equipped with the highest level equipment on the market. It has been lovingly built with no expenses spared but unfortunately I’m reluctantly having to sell as I’m now looking to buy a house. I hope the new owners will have dozens of amazing adventures for many years to come!

It is fully equipped for off grid adventures in all weather with TWO large 175W solar panels and a 50 amp dc-dc battery charger to charge the leisure battery while driving. The electric system boasts a huge 200AH Lithium battery which powers the van for several days on a single charge. A 2000W inverter has been installed to enable 240v devices to be used when camping off grid and a 100L water tank has been installed internally. The van features an external shower point and there is room under the seat for a portable toilet.

The van is fully insulated in every cavity, wall, floor and ceiling to keep the warm air in during winter and the cool air in during the summer. Industry leading Dodo Mat sound proofing has been used throughout the whole van for a quiet pleasurable drive, especially important for longer journeys, something many people neglect. Climate control is operated by a Truma Diesel Combi (D4E) heater for both room and water heating. The Truma heats the room from several heating outlets located all through the van. Water and room temperature can be set from the touch screen panel or your phone. The Truma is the highest quality heating system available for motorhomes and is used by most leading high end motorhome manufacturers. It uses diesel from the vehicles tank to heat the van, but there is also the option to heat electrically if you’re on a campsite with electric hook up.

Outside the van, brand new alloy wheels have been fitted with BFGoodrich All Terrain tyres. These were a substantial investment but I decided they would be well worth it as I planned to spend winters in the snow. They really do let you drive the van anywhere. They also have a lifespan of well over 80,000 miles so there’ll be no need to change them for a very long time. The van also has matt black aluminium roof rack with 350W solar panels mounted above along with a light bar towards the front.

There is an abundance of storage inside the van with several over head lockers, under seat cupboards and a huge garage space to the rear with room to fit mountain bikes and skis for the ultimate outdoor adventures. The large MaxxAir Fan in the ceiling (the industry’s leading ventilation option) provides good air circulation in winter and summer to control the temperature and eliminate condensation and damp. The truma heater can also be used in summer as a ventilation system, the air vents throughout the van can provide fresh air without heat. A excellent feature in the summer when combined with the maxxair fan.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a Dometic fridge, the most efficient and high performing option on the market. It includes freezer compartment and once it reaches temperature it uses a tiny amount of energy to stay running. The van is gasless so makes use of an induction hob setup for cooking. This was important to me when building as I didn’t want to rely on gas for cooking and it makes driving abroad so much easier. The kitchen has an extendable worktop that provides a huge workspace for meal preparation. There are two large cushioned seats with a Lagun adjustable swivel table to allow you to sit back and relax while you enjoy your food and some drinks after a long day of adventures.

For added convenience, there are two ultra fast charging USB ports that feature a standard USB point and a USB-C point. There is one located by the fixed table and chairs and another in the kitchen area close enough to allow you charge your devices in bed. There are 6 bright Kiravans LED spotlights along with built in window blinds for total privacy at night.

The bedroom area is separated by a dividing wall to provide comfort during the evening with the full sized double mattress being accessible by a removable ladder. The bedroom area is surrounded by upholstered and cushioned walls, a small shelf to place drinks and phones and a heating outlet to the rear to prevent cold drafts from the back of the van.

The van has been weighed at 2980kg meaning you can load it with more than half a tonne before the legal weight limit is reached, ideal for big adventures. The van is due to have its MOT this week and a major service is also booked so it will be ready to go on any adventure as soon as you collect!

This camper really has been built with the highest attention to detail using the best quality materials, products and equipment currently available in the motorhome industry. Viewing in person is essential to see the full potential this van has to offer. I have no doubt that this will make an excellent base to explore anywhere you set your mind to.

If you are interested in the campervan please don’t hesitate to get in touch using the contact form or by phone (07476 094602), feel free to ask any questions at all, no matter how small! I can’t answer the phone while in work so if there is no answer, leave a message or send a text and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
