COSY COTTAGE STYLE 2014 LWB SPRINTER

This fully off grid camper was designed to be the perfect home away from home. The idea was that when you moved from the cab to the living area you would no longer feel like you were in a van, instead a cosy homely area where you could relax and enjoy your park up!

+ Living Area +
Large comfortable seating area at the front of the van meaning you can properly sit and enjoy the view. The sofa also pulls out to be a second bed, brilliant for children or if friends fancy joining you for a night or two! Having windows either side means you can fully appreciate the location even if the weather isn’t on your side! There are 240v sockets in the the sofa area as well as 12v charging points.

+ Kitchen +
Built to resemble a cottage kitchen, there is a large worktop so plenty of space for cooking, a double gas hob, pull out shelving unit and 4 pull out storage baskets which make access and packing incredibly easy! Underneath the hob tucked away neatly is a Dometic Waeco CRX50 12v compressor fridge with freezer department and a hidden cutlery and utensil drawer. There are spotlights situated beneath the overhead cabinets to provide the perfect cooking space. On the other side there is a second kitchen unit with a beautiful curved ceramic sink, faucet tap with extendable spray end that can also be spun around to reach externally outside of the van. Under the sink is a portable waste water tank. This unit also has a side detail with extra easy to access storage compartments. To keep the van ventilated there is a Maxxair MaxxFan Deluxe with remote control installed between the kitchen and sleeping area, this can be left open even if its raining.

+ Sleeping +
At the back there is a fixed bed running across the van, if you require more sleeping space then there is an extension piece meaning you can also sleep length ways which really does give you the best of both worlds. The bed also doubles out as a lovely space to sit with the back doors open. Each back door has a window in it and there is a small window with built in shelf in the back sleeping compartment meaning which ever way you look, you wake up with a view! All fitted with beautifully made curtains, again to give you the sense of home. There are also charging points situated in the sleeping compartment for ease at nighttime.

+ Toilet +
Contained in a private cubical to give as much privacy as possible there is a compost loo, very easy to empty and can also be fully removed. A slated door and the Maxxair fan situated outside the door also provides ventilation. The cubicle was made with marine standard plywood so there is the possibility of adding in an internal shower at a later date.

+ Storage +
As the van was built with long adventures in mind there is ample storage options. We built an cabin shelf so there is a large overhead storage compartment. Under one of sofas there is lift up lid which provides a storage options for bits that don’t need to be accessed frequently. The other sofa side has a large pull out drawer as part of the sofa bed set up but this is great for bulky bits that are needed regularly. Overhead cabinets run the length of the living area for storage as well as overheads above the sleeping area which provides easy access for clothing. One one side under the bed there is a smaller cupboard and on the other side there is a cupboard and then a shelved area that runs along the wheel arch over the water tank for bigger items.

+ Gas and Water *
Gas fitted professionally with 6kg bottle secured in a gas locker. Internal 70L watertank situated under the bed with easy access. There is also a water tap located at the rear doors which can take a hose pipe fitting with shower head. Shurflo Trail King Pressurised Water Pump and Fiamma A20 Universal Expansion Tank fitted at the rear of the underneath the bed.

+ Insulation +
The van was fitted with sound deading everywhere that could take it, including the floor to minimize sound. We used a combination of Ecotherm insulation board and Thermafleece in the flooring, sides and roof of the van including in the cab area.
