Up for sale is my little adventure wagon! We’ve been everywhere together. I absolutely love this van and I’m very sad to sell. I’ve put a lot of time and money into upgrades, but I bought a new car and don’t get as much use in the van anymore.
Ford Transit Connect MK1 LWB High Top – 2013 – the last of the previous generation.
Partial service history – as it was a fleet vehicle before. But will have been taken care of.
Comes with:

• £400 new stereo, amplifier and speaker setup. (Kenwood head unit, Pioneer 500W amplifier, Focal component speakers with a lot of soundproofing).

• Cabinet with 2 drawers – including utensils, plates, bowls etc.
Accessories and spares:
I’ve put together a bit of a kit for someone to get going with. Spare fabric, materials, clutch fluid, spare electrics, and lots of parts! So you can use it instantly and play around.
Also included new Front pads and discs.
Its been very well looked after, I keep on top of any paint chips or rust spots on the body. I do my own services, I can supply receipts for oil, filters etc. Including top spec allergy cabin air filters. Always use Mann or Bosch filters.

To be aware of:
Cambelt (wet belt) likely needs doing in the next year or so. I was quoted £600 to convert to chain instead, which I would advise on doing.
Clutch slave cylinder is a bit leaky, I’ve driven 5000km+ with this, just need to top up fluid every now and then. I’ve supplied a bottle to do so, and a bleed kit if needed.
I’ve got new galvanised sills, but am waiting to fit them on right side – could either do this and deliver van to buyer once complete, or reduce price.
Its a really fun van to drive, it handles like a car, and I’ve slept in all manner of places, its a proper stealthy setup, people assume its a works van because of the highway markings on the rear – you could easily remove these if you liked though.
Comes with a lot of kit, including cabinet, drawers, underbed storage, overhead storage, hooks and attachments.
I made the storage over cabin area using wood and a handprinted fabric from my mother who is an artist. Its super deep, can barely reach to the back, and stores most of my adventure kit, sleeping bags, tents etc.
The bed slides into a small double, you can fit two people, but if you are a fidgeter, I suggest sleeping top to tail. For one person the single bed is useful, but often I stretch out to the double anyway. You can then store boxes under the bed, really useful extra storage. Its amazing how much you can fit in alongside living.
Under the bed you have a folding storage area thats essentially hidden/secure. You can fit multiple duffle bags, large bags for life of stuff. I often keep camera equipment, and overnight stuff in here.
There is a drawer that pulls out from the back of the bed, it stores gas bottle, stove etc. You can then use it as a cooking surface – however I did remove it as I personally preferred the storage cubby for commuting with, but I have kept the drawer, it just has a bit of surface rust on the runners. But happy to get some new runners, or try sand the rust off. The drawer still functions fully.
There is a lock on the inside of the sliding door, so you can enter and exit without having to relock with the keys, I find it very handy when nipping out in the night! It controls the full central locking too. There is also a rear door handle from the inside, although sits the same level as the mattress.
I’ve slept in it in minus 6, and it stays quite warm, its well insulated with wool, foam and foils. The floor is plywood sitting on top of about 6cm thick insulation board. The curtain is blackout and very thick. My go to setup when alone is a wool duvet, and a big sleeping bag opened up as a blanket. Its some of the best sleep of my life.

• £200 Wolfbox Digital mirror/reverse camera / dashcam. I LOVE this thing, its super useful, and provides very clear rear view – handy if you are used to the visibility you get in a car.
• Cabinet with 2 drawers – including utensils, plates, bowls etc. I’ve recently sanded the drawers to allow them to open and close a bit smoother, they have velcro attachment to hold them in place while driving.

Its a sliding custom made bed. Goes from a single to a small double. It has the main single bed mattres and 4 cushions that form either a sofa or when pulled out and placed, a small double.
