We are selling our fantastic camper, Ronnie. This is a pop top camper conversion in great condition with low milage . Includes solar charging, leisure battery and mains option, 2 double beds, seating area with dining table, kitchen area and full awning. This is a great alternative for someone who wants a VW camper but doesn’t want to pay the inflated prices!
The van itself is in great condition, MOT has been done 29/02/24 so coming with 12 months, no advisories! 2L diesel engine. The van is Euro 6 so ULEZ compliant, avoiding fines in any clean air zones, which recently came in, in our own city and due to be implemented in a number of other places around the country. There are 3 belted seats up front, bluetooth connection, window wind deflectors installed and parking sensors. We take great care of our vans as they are a home and a vehicle so we have been servicing regularly, the last service was in November when I had the oil changed, Exhausts, batteries, tyres and tracking all checked. At 2.2m tall, this is handy to still be able to get into most car parks.
We bought Ronnie last year from the one previous owner, we have gone from van to van over the last 4 years and this has definitely been our gateway van to full van life. We fully caught the bug and are only selling him as we have rented our property and are getting something bigger that we can live in full time! The set up of the van is a big plus, we have a full seating area and dining table in the evening and this can be converted into a full double bed on the bottom. The pop top allows for full standing height which is great for when you are cooking etc and ‘upstairs’ there is another double bed with mattress included. The pop top includes a window to let in more light and fly screens to bring some air in on warm evenings. This allows us to make the most of campsites and even stealth camp when we want to by bringing the top down. The units installed in the back provide lots of storage for a full kitchen set up (we use a portable stove but other facilities could be added) and there is lots of storage under the seats as well. There is also a bike rack included which easily comes on and off.
The van has a solar panel installed, powering a leisure battery in the back. This powers USB ports for phone charging etc and the lights. We have never needed any additional power for these. There is the option to use split charging from the vehicle battery but we’ve never needed this. There is also a camper mains plug which can be used on campsites, powering 3 pin sockets in the back which we have used for a small heater, a kettle, straighteners and more so very flexible.
The van is easily insured through Adrian Flux (or similar insurers), we were able to insure all of the extras (such as the awning) and all of the kit that we store and use in the van. We have travelled up to Scotland, down to Cornwall and been all over the country with the flexibility that Ronnie provides.
We have absolutely loved this van and all of the trips we have been on in it but we are saying goodbye to make way for more adventures!
The pop top conversion and window installation was completed by the previous owner, he had this done through a professional conversion company in Cornwall. The rest was installed by himself to a very high standard.
There are two bed options in the camper, the seating area converts into a wide double and there is the pop top double bed with mattress included.
