Hand built, gas free, off grid VW Crafter

Very high spec camper van which you can use off grid with ease.

Designed and specifically built to seat and sleep 5 people. Was built for the purpose of using as a hire Campervan. The van was successfully hired out for 2 years with excellent reviews. I got a permanent job so sadly didn’t have the time to hire it out this last year however I used it as my personally camper. Sadly it’s time to sell as I am now too busy to use it and I would love for someone else to enjoy new adventures in it.

The camper is packed with everything you could ever need and can be used off grid indefinitely (apart from getting fresh water and diesel).

No expense spared on the power system, 400W of solar panels along with 4 x 100ah lithium ion batteries and a 3000W inverter plus a split charging relay, which means that it is self sufficient and recharges by either the solar or starting the engine or a combination of both.
It is also wired up so that you can plug in at a campsite if you prefer. It can also recharge by plugging into mains (shore) power.

It has a built in toilet and shower with 2 ways of heating the water. Either by driving the vehicle or switching on the emersion switch and waiting for ~ 20mins or so. The large underslung water capacity means that you can actually have multiple showers plus cook, etc without running out of water and an equally large waste water tank means you can store all the waste water until you get to a suitable disposal point. I can honestly say that the shower in this camper is better than the shower in my house, it is hot and powerful.
There is an external shower point as well which means you can wash down the bikes, boards, dog and kids if need be!
The large cassette in the built in toilet is easily emptied as it has an external door and will last up to a week give or take before it needs emptied.

This van has been extremely well sound proofed and insulted as Scotland is not the warmest of places which means it’s nice and cosy inside however if you do get cold there is a diesel heater which will have the place toasty in no time.

Van has a car play system up front which means you can attach your smart phone and see your sat nav, etc.
Built in tracking device with accompanying app so you always know where your van is, this same device can also show you how much power you are generating from solar, how much you are using, etc. I believe it has the ability to have built in wifi as well however I choose not to add this feature.

Amble storage everywhere and a huge boot capacity which can hold bikes and more. Also plenty of length down the middle of the van for storing paddle boards or surf boards.

Two dining tables with various seating configurations, plus a tripod adaptor so you can take one of the tables outside.
I have two complete sets of crockery/cutlery which are in very good condition that I am happy to sell with the vehicle. Please message me for a contents list as it is very long. I had one set in the van out on hire, whilst I washed and sterilized the other set ready for the next hire (it was during COVID so extra clean camper experience). The van also has a smoke & CO2 alarm fitted, fire blanket and fire extinguisher. It is basically a ready to go business for someone.

I have photographs from each stage of the build which I am more than happy to send to the new owner if you wish (there are lots).

Even though I am a professional automotive upholster I chose not to do the front seats as it was for hire and they enviably get damaged however if you are interested in having the front seats to match the rest I can do this for a very reasonable additional cost.

As a Campervan converter I can say that I put my heart and soul into this van and everything was thought of from the point of view of ease of use for the non experienced Campervan user. The interior was built with Birch PlyWood & stained/lacquered to give a rustic yet easily cleaned finished. The worktop was hand built and bespoke using pallet wood set in resin. This would make a great rental Campervan for someone looking to start a hire business or grow their current business. Equally it would be a brilliant family Campervan as plenty of space for everyone and it has all the mod cons.
Genuinely sad to be selling this van.
