Julieta is an excellent rental campervan. We have been renting Julieta out with Quirky Campers for the past 2 years so you are effectively buying a rental business, as well as a campervan. She has been much loved and cared for by us for the past 3 years, with all work overseen by us personally. Sadly we do not have time to enjoy her enough ourselves or to run the rental business so the time has come for us to share her with new owners.
Julieta is currently LEZ compliant but we have spoken to a firm approved by the ULEZ scheme who would be able to modify the van to become ULEZ compliant.
Julieta was designed to be lived in, not just as a holiday vehicle. She has an unusual amount of space and is very light and airy, allowing you to walk through from one end to the other.
The kitchen space is big enough to cook properly in and is fantastically equipped. With the table set up, and the bed stowed away, Julieta is spacious enough to entertain in, or to work at.
With help from Right to Roam, Julieta was designed to be a high spec, off-grid campervan with a beautiful, tranquil space and as many natural materials as possible.
Julieta was awarded the Best Remote Working Van award from campervan expert, Nate Murphy in 2020.
We believe, living in a campervan is all about living life outside as much as possible, being able to slide open the side door and swing the back doors to hear and smell nature. A long pull-out table was designed next to the kitchen, creating extra space to chop and cook with others, bringing the kitchen outside. Which is wonderful!
The open plan and total white interior, with wooden ceiling and floorboards, give Julieta a Scandinavian-Boho feel and makes the van feel roomier and much bigger inside. Lots of great ideas came up while the build was taking place, such as a long pull-out draw, a cut-out compost bin on the kitchen top, an escape hatch at the front of the van, which doubles up as a small window looking out into the cabin, a pull-out rack to dry tea towels or your underwear! Linen materials were used for the curtains and cushions.
Julieta has been freshly painted, and all fabrics cleaned, so she feels brand new.
In 2022, we installed a top-of the range Webasto hot water system which supplies hot water to the kitchen and also to the back of the van, where we have a hot outdoor shower. We have found this shower to be better than most campsite showers! The Webasto heating system runs off the main diesel tank and also fuels a thermostatic-controlled heating system for the van which can keep you toasty all through the night. The van is ready to be lived in or rented out. It is designed to be off-grid. You walk through the side door and into the big L shape kitchen with deep countertops made from recycled wood. It has a Thetford oven, a two-burner gas hob, a white Belfast sink, with an extendable mixer kitchen tap, and a large fridge/freezer. The hob and oven runs off a 15L underslung LPG gas tank, refillable from the outside. There is an indoor dial showing you how much gas there is available and a tank lasts for many months and is super cheap to refill.
Long display shelves run along both sides of the van. One in the kitchen area, which is great to keep all your jars and cookbooks and one along the living space, which is where we keep books, games, our binoculars and cameras. These were created this specific size, to have enough space to walk around and not bang your head with deep shelves. We do have a set of 4 deep cupboards along the other side of the living space which is great for storage. Above the cab, is a very deep shelf, which we use to keep bedding and other soft furnishings and just below is the escape hatch into the cabin, which is also another window, letting in the morning sunshine through the natural cane holes. Other soft furnishings are made from natural materials, including rugs, curtains and there is also a leather poof which is great for storing pillows in.
We can supply Julieta with bedding and everything you need to being your campervan journey or rental business. We have taken Julieta to France several times so she also comes complete with all necessary travel accessories, including the Crit Air clean air stickers for France, AA roadside kit and gas and electrical adapters.
The gas landlords safety certificate needs renewing if you plan to hire her out with Quirky, as this has just expired.
Julieta has two (both under warrantee) 90ah batteries with a 340w LG solar panel, using Victron equipment to charge the batteries. These can be charged by the solar panel, the split charge alternator while you drive and 240v hook up. You can also use 240v electrics as it has a Victron 500w invertor and two 240v sockets. The solar panel and split charger work so well that we have rarely needed to rely on shore power from the 240v electrics.
The fresh water tank is a generous 100litres and the grey water tank, 90 litres.
We will be including a disklock steering wheel lock with the sale.
We put together an extensive digital manual for Julieta with instructions and diagrams as part of our hire business and are happy to include this with the sale.
2 berth camper (or 3 if you squeeze a little one in the middle) with a kingsize-width bed (1.60m x 1.85m) and really deep (10cm) upholstered cushions.
The bed can be switched into a table and 2 long sofas to create a luxurious living/working space. This makes Julieta ideal to live in for however long you would like.
Please note: Quirky Campers do not inspect the listings for accuracy or check campervans in person. We have asked sellers to provide evidence of certificates and paperwork however you MUST check yourself that the information provided is present and correct. You will need to exercise the normal due diligence when buying any vehicle.
Pre-approved for hire means that Quirky Campers have approved a valid Gas Safe Certificate and Weighbridge certificate for this vehicle, and would approve it for hiring as long as Quirky loves this style is ticked.
Insurance options are available through our partner, Ripe Insurance.
