Every van we build has a name, and this one was christened by our kids after their favourite Minion. Look closely at the back of the double bench seat and you’ll even find a CNC-engraved Kevin hiding there.
Kevin is our flagship. When we built him this year, the brief was simple: no deadline, no budget cap, the best version of every component we know use in a small van. He’s the van we use to show customers what a Northern Conversions build can be β and he’s been enjoyed (and thoroughly shaken down) on our own family adventures, so every system on board is proven, not showroom-fresh guesswork. With our build slots filling, Kevin is ready to start his next chapter β at a specification that would cost you considerably more to commission from scratch, with no wait for a build slot.
This is our Budle layout β the most sociable floorplan we make. Open floor space to hang out in when the weather turns, a proper full-size rear kitchen, and sleeping for 4. And with the 2kW diesel heater, electric hot water and serious off-grid electrics, this is a genuine four-season camper β as happy on a frosty December pitch as an August beach.

Slide the door open and this is where the Budle layout shines. The pull-out bench seat, swivelled cab seats and fold-out Aguti seat create a proper social space β room for the whole family plus friends to sit, eat and play games out of the rain.
The details are what set this build apart: bespoke bamboo internal window frames, full-length bespoke rear door cards, wagtail roll-down fabric blinds, Remis cab blinds (a genuinely premium upgrade β no faffing with silver screens), dimmable ceiling lights under bespoke pelmets, and accent strip lighting under the kitchen units and in the storage nook. Everything is dimmable and controlled from the touchscreen, and the main lights can even work with Google Home / Alexa.
The table deserves a special mention: a genuine skimboard mounted on a Lagun swivel leg. Every van needs a story, and Kevin has plenty.

Sleeps up to 4: the bi-folding slatted pop-top bed takes two upstairs (and cleverly elevates out of the way to create standing headroom when not in use), while the pull-out bench creates a comfortable double downstairs. Four belted travel seats (driver, sliding/swivelling double passenger seat and fold-out Aguti seat) mean the whole family travels safely too.
