Vehicle Description

Welcome to the Sky Lark – a beautiful, creative, compact and quality build for your van-life adventure!

MOT valid until 29th June 2024 with no advisories – (I am happy to put it through its MOT before purchase).

It has regularly been serviced, and has a full service history.

Only driven about 20,000 miles since I converted her in 2019.

She has been weighed since it was converted and is 3,020 kg unladen.

She is ULEZ compliant, has a 2.3 diesel engine and has a manual, 6 gear box with cruise control – ideal for motorway driving!

She has been registered as a motor caravan with DVLA, which means that you can drive standard speed limits (70mph) on a motorway. It also makes it easier to find insurance for her.

The body work is all in good condition, (with some standard wear and tear for a van of her age). I added a reversing camera and there are sensors, so reversing into parking spaces isn’t an issue.

Conversion Description

The thing I love most about this van is being able to wake up in the morning, make coffee and turn the heating on, open the black out blinds and watch the sunrise and enjoy seeing the landscape all around me while snug in bed, sitting up against the headboard. The laguna table swings round so you have your book, a candle, the coffee, and your phone all in front of you. My dog usually sleeps on one sofa while I sleep on the other one but in the morning she jumps over to mine to finish off the cosiness.

The layout is very sociable as you can easily sit four as there are two sofas/beds. There are head boards to use when sitting up in bed so ideal for both couples as well as single people with a dog or people who want to travel with friends.
The beds can be used as two singles (70cm x 185) and they are good quality firm foam. If you are a single person, you can make one bed into a larger single (90cm x 185) or the two beds can make one large bed 180 x 185cm).

The striking thing about this van is the light as there are 5 Dometic windows, all of which are double glazed, open and have black out blinds and fly screens. There are also two fans – one above kitchen and a Maxxair Maxxfan in the living/sleeping area which is both a fan and an extractor. There is also a light and black out blind, and a remote.
There is storage under the bed for the hook up cable, hose for filling up the water tanks, chairs, table, chocks, etc.
There is a fully tanked bathroom with a built in toilet with a sog which draws out the air from the toilet which means that you don’t need to use chemicals. There is a shower hose for use but only with cold water. There are hanging hooks and towel rails.

The kitchen does not have gas but has a two ring low voltage Vango induction hob, a microwave combi oven, a low voltage kettle (all included) as well as storage for plates, pans, utensils. (all of which work off the leisure battery & solar power- see below)

The fridge is large enough to keep several bottles of wine cool, and will happily run off the leisure battery, for off-grid camping.

There are four overhead storage cupboards as well as the ones under the bed, and there is another cupboard under the fridge which means that the fridge is at chest level and is a good sized fridge with a freezer which runs off the battery.

There is more storage for coffee, tea and food, as well as games, books etc.

The cab is completely separate from the living area so it makes for a lovely cosy, warm space which is also nice and dark at night with no need to put windscreen covers on.

There are three seats in the cab and it’s a space where you can store your extra stuff while parked up without cluttering up your living space.

I have a file of all the receipts and instruction manuals for pretty much everything on board and I have a user manual as I was sharing her with friends in the past couple of years. I have also recorded some “how to” videos which I can share too.
