Nessa is a 2015 Ford Transit minibus conversion, with a personalised 2016 plate – NE56VAN. With only 57,000 miles on the clock, Van Nessa is sure to stick around for a long time yet.
Like us you probably have a preferred aesthetic, and if you like the plasticky motorhome feel, she’s probably not for you. Nessa is more of a charmer. Scandi style roof, with practical, simple cabinetry making up the kitchen cupboards and doors, along with the overhead lockers.
Stylish as you like, with a recent major service and brand-new high quality, super thick, firm and comfortable foam bedding / seating Nessa is a real home from home. We lived in her nonstop for 6 months and barely needed to top up the power (not at all for the first 4 months from June).
Since we bought it last year, we have had a full engine service and replaced the cushions / seating bedding for high quality, firm memory foam, replaced the fridge – (brand new unused) and had an engine service completed.
We bought Nessa from a GP in June 2024 who had looked after the van and spent £2,000 in fixing any niggles prior to selling to us. After living in the van full-time for 6 months in the UK and Ireland, regrettably, health issues have forced us to sell.
We have loved our time in Nessa, and we will definitely be back to #vanlife in the future. The freedom and flexibility of living in the van were great, but I now need to be home and close to hospital for ongoing treatment.
Therefore, Van Nessa is available for someone else to enjoy.
A former 17-seatter school minibus, the van was professionally converted in 2021 and was then immediately sold to the above GP, and we bought it from him in July last year.
Like her BBC counterpart, Van Nessa is strong and robust. Plenty of standing room inside and more than big enough for two to live and work comfortably. Her size is her beauty, there is so much space inside.
