Off Grid All Year Round Family Adventure Camper - Mercedes Sprinter LWB

An off grid fully winterised Mercedes sprinter LWB conversion for all year round adventures. Hand built for family travels with lots of storage and proper kitchen (we love to cook), huge fridge, toilet and shower. Seat belts for 4 and sleeps 3 + 1 (smaller child). Drives well and surprising manoeuvrable for a longer vehicle. The narrower width means it fits down interesting lanes and through picturesque villages!
This vehicle has served us well and taken trips from Scotland to Spain and the Alps (in winter). It’s been driven very little over the last couple of years as the family has grown and it no longer suits our needs. So it’s time to sell our much cherished camper van.

This van is ready go all year and cosy and warm being insulated with 15-20mm closed cell foam plus a layer of sheeps wool. This keeps the van warm in winter, cool in summer and very quiet for sleeping in.

Kitchen
solid oak work surfaces, with 3 burner SMEV hob, separate sink and drainer.

Lots of storage space in internally lit overhead cabinet with frosted doors and hand built cabinets.
Sink and tap with hot and cold water by the side door. Tap extends as shower for outside showers or hosing down sandy feet!

Bathroom
Chemical free flushing toilet (using SOG system) so no smells and no smelly chemicals needed.

Electric
2 leisure batteries (110 amp hours each) for long lasting 12v power

Battery charging from mains and from split charger when driving
Capability to add solar panels if required. We never added solar as the batteries lasted us unto 5 days without moving and when you drive they quickly charge up again. These could of course be added as there is lots of roof space and the 12V controller has solar input available

large 100 litre interior water tank (will never freeze) with exterior fill point

14 l truma ultrastore hot water heater. Works on gas and 240v electricity when on hookup.

Ventilation
3 roof lights with internal blackout blinds and fly screens

Lots of windows and roof lights keep the van well ventilated when sleeping and cooking. The internal blinds mean its very dark when they’re closed.

Storage
Good size wardrobe with lots hanging space, overhead shelves
Under seat storage and rear door storage – perfect for all sorts of equipment. We used for paddle board, kitesurfing equipment, wetsuits, extra camping equipments, chairs table and even skis and snowboard.
