We designed the van to last about 6 days off grid in winter and indefinitely in summer.
Altogether the build cost us about £34k, we’re selling cheaper for a quick sale because we need to change our living situation ASAP due to work. We are putting down a deposit on a house and ‘settling down’ – van life is being put on the back burner for a bit as we couldn’t make it work with our jobs. We were full-time in the van for just a couple of months. All of the above kit was bought brand new new and has had < 3 months of use. We're sad to see her go but that's life 🤷♂️
About the unfinished parts. Small things like trims, finishings, coving and last licks of paint. The overhead cupboards were a temporary solution but we've found that they've worked well. The shower/ toilet area is unfinished. We were intending to include a shower here but found we didn't need one, therefore our new plan was to change it to a storage/ toilet area. It's totally up to you what you decide to do with it 😊
Good opportunity to save a lot of money on basically new, top of the range kit.
The van currently has a transverse queen sized bed that converts into a 4 person seating area. This bed was built specifically for us at 5’10”, so anybody taller may need to make some modifications. The van isn’t totally finished, and this is reflected in the lower than market price. Perfect for you if you want a van with all of the hard bits done but would still like to add your own touch.
