Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

The base vehicle is a 2015 Iveco Daily 35S11 Luton Van, fitted with a 2.3L diesel engine and automatic transmission. With around 112,000 miles on the clock, it remains in excellent running order. The Iveco Daily is known for its strong chassis and reliability – this model was originally part of a Tesco delivery fleet, so the majority of its miles have been accumulated under a strict service regime.

MOT valid until 7 April 2026 (last MOT pass: 8 April 2025 at 110,611 miles).

Dimensions: L 6.70 m x H 3.00 m x W 2.13 m

Weighbridge certificate shows 3300 kg — fully within the 3.5 tonne limit, so driveable on a standard car licence. This design gives you the maximum living space possible without needing an upgraded licence.

Recent work in 2025: full service, all brake discs and pads replaced, and a new oil-pressure sensor fitted.

Bodywork: overall good condition for its age, with one shallow dent and some superficial scratches from use (see photos). MOT noted a lightly frayed seatbelt that I’ve been monitoring, as advised (photo included).

Cab: clean and comfortable, fitted with a reverse camera for easy manoeuvring and a 12v cabin light.

The van is registered on the V5C as a Luton Van (Light Goods Vehicle). Both myself and the previous owner have been insured with Adrian Flux without any issue.

The original hydraulic tail-lift is still fitted and working well. When raised upright it locks into place, making the van extremely secure when parked; lowered, it provides easy loading or can be used as an outdoor deck. It could also be removed to free up ~300kg of unladen weight, if you’d prefer.

Conversion Description

This is not a typical van conversion. Built by an experienced boat carpenter, it was designed for comfortable, year-round off-grid living and finished entirely in natural, tactile materials: pine cladding, cedar worktops, copper sink and taps, linen curtains and sheep’s wool insulation. With the Luton box design it feels more like a cabin than a van, and it’s the maximum living space you can drive on a standard car licence. The result is a homely, surprisingly spacious tiny home on wheels.

— Sleeping & Seating —

2 genuine double beds (4 berth):
• Luton double (approx. 190 cm x 137 cm / 4’6 wide) – a fixed bed with natural timber surround, cosy and private.
• Convertible sofa double – the generous seating area converts quickly into a second full-size double.

U-shaped sofa-bench with fold-away bamboo dining table seating up to 6 people. The table doubles as a desk for working or studying. Plenty of under-bench storage.

— Kitchen —

Cedar worktop with ample prep space.

Black glass twin gas hob for efficient cooking.

Handmade copper ‘Tree of Life’ heat protector adds character and detail.

Full-size fridge (mains/12V capable) – ideal for long trips.

Copper Mexican sink and taps with ~75 litre water tank. Separate urn with Berkey water filter for clean drinking water.

Cupboards, shelving, and cutlery drawer finished in natural timber.

LED downlights for bright, low-energy cooking.

— Shower room —

Fully enclosed private shower room with sunken shower tray.

Thetford Porta Potti cassette toilet (unused).

Externally mounted Truma boiler providing hot water, with the option of also mounting a shower externally if you’d prefer.

— Heating —

Very efficient compact woodburner with wood store below, copper heat shielding and a protective steel guard – provides genuine cabin warmth and cosy ambience in winter.

Diesel heater outlet by the additional elm seat – giving quick, back-up heat at the push of a button.

Walls are insulated with 75mm of natural wool insulation, double-glazed windows and ceiling vents prevent condensation.

— Electrics —

The van is designed to be fully off-grid, with a bespoke wiring loom built to BSI regulations by the original owner. I do not currently hold an electrical safety certificate. Like many local campervan conversion companies I’ve been in touch with to try to sort this, I’ve run into the wider issue of finding electricians willing to carry out certification on conversions. The system has worked without issue in my ownership, and the buyer is welcome to arrange an inspection if they wish. I’ve included detailed photographs of the utility cupboard for clarity.

Lithium leisure battery for reliable off-grid storage.

Solar panel system with MPPT controller.

240V inverter for running household devices.

USB and 12V sockets throughout.

240V sockets and a 240V mains charger for use on hook-up.

LED lighting throughout, and a couple of small battery-powered LED strings too.

— Hydraulic Tail-Lift —

The rear of the van is fitted with a full-size hydraulic tail-lift. At camp, it becomes a raised outdoor deck – a handy space for chairs, cooking, or watching the sunset. In town, raise and lock it upright for unmatched security: it cannot be lowered without the ignition key.

— The Feel —

Everywhere you look there are natural textures – pine walls, cedar counters, copper details – giving the space a warmth and tactility that’s rare in campervans. It’s a space that invites you to slow down, cook, gather, and rest. With two full doubles, a real kitchen and bathroom, and heating for all seasons, it feels less like a van and more like a self-contained, four-season tiny home on wheels. I bought the van to travel in Britain for a research project and I’m only selling because my partner and I are expecting a baby and our plans have changed – otherwise, I would have really loved to keep this as a long-term home.

Beds Description

2 adult double beds (4 berth in total):
• Overcab/Luton double: ~190 cm x 137 cm – comfortable for two adults.
• Convertible sofa double: ~190 cm x 120 cm – a U-shaped bench converts quickly into a full-length double bed.

Both beds are proper doubles with enough length for most adults, not “small camper doubles.” The layout makes it easy for a family of four or for two adults who want the flexibility of separate sleeping areas. There is a removable ladder to access the Luton bed.

Main Bed Length
190cm
Accessibility Features
Hydraulic tail-lift at the rear, though the vehicle is not otherwise adapted for wheelchair access.
