Ruby our T2 1.6 VW Camper Van Quirky and gorgeous

The time has come for part with Ruby, our VW Hightop T2 campervan
We have owned Ruby for 9 years and had some great adventures in her,
had lots of fun times, met loads of new people but it’s time to move on
Mileage reads 12364 although this is probably 112364 as we have MOT certs
dating back to 1994 that have a milegae of 75989

First the good points
Ruby is very distinctive & individual campervan
She has always been very reliable & never let us down
Lots of receipts & paperwork for works done over the last few years
Being a high top she is very practical & there is lots of storage space
Tax & MOT exempt (although we have always had the MOT done)
She was serviced last week and had a new the MOT expires on 28/4 /22
Custom built interior in good condition including rock’n’roll bed, 2 ring gas
hob/grill, 3 way fridge, sink (not used by us but should be in working order)
Seats & bed recently refurbished & recovered at a cost of £1k
240v hook up & leisure battery
New battery last year
3 seat belts
2 sets of keys, hook up cable, cover

Now the bad points
There are some bits of rust coming through & the bodywork needs a bit of TLC
The interior could also be updated and improved if desired
Ruby is 49 years old & in no way a show winner be she is reliable, very usable &
ready to go
