Vivaro
I bought this van a year and a half ago and completed the conversion myself. It’s the second camper I’ve built, and am a carpenter by trade, I’ve finished it to a high standard. If you’d like to see the process, I’ve got videos of the build on my Instagram.
I finished the conversion at the start of summer and mainly used it while working onsite at festival builds, it’s been the perfect base, and I’ve loved every minute of staying in her. I’ve also taken it on a few adventures, and my friend and her husband even took their little one away in it, so it works well for solo trips, couples, or even a small family.

🛋 Interior & Conversion
• Flexible layout – single bed pulls out into a comfy double
• Plenty of storage – under-bed space, a large pull-out drawer at the rear, plus smaller drawers and cupboards
• Kitchen unit – with two big drawers and a pull-out table
• Electrics – 12v charging, USB ports, USB rechargeable lights (which can also be used outside)
• Heating – diesel heater fitted, keeps the van super toasty in winter
• Insulation – fully sound-deadened and insulated with Dodo Mat, cosy in winter and cool in summer
• Sliding doors both sides – great for airflow on hot days
• Awning – quick to set up and always gets compliments!
The conversion is designed to be simple and practical. Most of the build can be removed with just a few screws if you ever want to use the van as an empty load carrier again.

🌟 Why This Van?
This Vivaro is a true stealth camper — from the outside it looks just like a builder’s van, but inside it’s a warm, cosy little home. It’s easy to drive and park around the city, cheap to insure, and surprisingly economical. Perfect for weekends away, festival life, or longer road trips without drawing attention.

The conversion has been lovely completed my me, I work as a carpenter and I’ve done this in my free time over last winter I’ve put a lot of love into it as I initially didn’t convert to sell, there are so sweet features like the birch ply I’ve used on cupboard doors and other places in the van are from silver hayes at Glastonbury with print on. Which I think looks cute. It’s also finished with farrow and ball charlottes locks as well as Cornwall company tiles. It’s perfect for one person but will also comfortably fit two. Happy to include the little fridge I bought as well as my gas stove and an almost full bottle of gas as well as camping hook up equipment. Also the awning is really cool whenever I take it out I get so many comments! There is also power 12v to charge phones and lights as well as run the little fridge
Single bed that pulls out into a double so it can be slept on as a single if just one person leaving more space to move around the van if needed
