Peugeot Boxer L3H2 Professional HDI
2198cc – diesel – 6gears – MPG – engine smooth runner- bodywork in good used condition – This is not a heavy camper van, and therefore is quite nimble for a vehicle of this size and cruises effortlessly. Used as a van by first owner-It was sourced for conversion by second owner due to itβs age, condition and mileage.
It still had over 6 months manufacturerβs warranty when bought for conversion , mileage was 19.5k, Peugeot did a thorough examination at the time and rectified anything necessary which equated to a new engine oil dipstick housing.Β Β The vehicle is in good general condition. Current MOT till July but we will renew this to complete the sale.
A great motorcaravan / campervan for two people who prioritise a comfortable, stylish and generous living space. Awning – Fiamma F65S 370
Roof mounted motor home awning providing 9m2Β of shade from the sun and rain.Β Β 370cm long white case with grey canopy, it sits on the roof of the vehicle with no overhang and creates a covered camp area within seconds. Fiamma rain rafter and winding handle included.
Β Waeco Coolmatic CRX-80 Compressor fridge
78 Litre fridge including 7.5 litre freezer compartment which is removable (in 2 seconds) if larger fridge area required. Low energy consumption allows it to work very well with the solar system.
A spacious, sylish and quiet, fridge, with special door catch enabling it to be locked slightly open when not being used.
Self-sufficient, 12v electrical system. This system takes electricity generated from the solar panel and vehicle engine when running, to power the fridge and other items, also storing it in the leisure battery as necessary.Β Β It is self-managing, i.e. no switching between modes when driving versus camping etc,. Charges the car battery automatically when over wintering
The main components are:
β’ CTEK Power Management System – The brains of the 12v electrical system. Manages all power sources and batteries, maintaining both the leisure and vehicle batteries.Β If for any reason the vehicle battery fails, this system uses the dual purpose leisure battery to start the vehicle.
β’ 150W semi flexible solar panel β Made in Austria, slim, lightweight (3.5kg), panel generates up to 8A which is very effective.Β Considerably lighter and slimmer than traditional solar panels.
β’ NASA Compact marine battery monitor β Displays system current discharge or charge, battery voltage and state of charge.Β A useful instrument to monitor what is happening with in the system i.e. how much electricity is being used versus that being provided by the solar panel.
β’ LFD140 Varta Professional DC Leisure Battery 140Ah dual use – Large leisure battery.Β The electrical cupboard has space to take an additional battery, however this battery is perfect for the demands of this system.
β’ 2 x 12v rugged, recessed power sockets.
β’ Ample LED lighting – 4 x individual rear lounge reading lights (from Florida), 1 x kitchen LED light unit, 1 x entrance LED light unit.
β’ Control panel β Toggle switches control power to light circuit, fridge, water, power sockets (and a spare).
β’ Fuse box β All electrical consumers are fused here.

β’ 20 litre fresh on board water tank β easy to access, clean, remove and refill.Β Β Space to store a second, we have not found this necessary.
β’ 20 litre waste tank for external use.
Hob Compartment
To house a camp stove for cooking outside.Β The kitchen unit is designed to take a twin burner gas hob should it be needed but we never did so it wasn’t installed.
Unique one off build
The design allows scope for future enhancements, there is more than enough space should a new owner wish to add new features I.e.portable or built-in toilet.Β The van was built with a 150mm service channel across it’s width should additional pipe work or wiring be needed.Β We did not require mains electricity or a built in hob, but the connection is fitted if needed.
A great camper for two people requiring a comfortable and spacious living space.Β Β The internal height is around 185cm, comfortable for someone 6ft plus tall.
The design is bespoke, all the units are specifically designed using CAD and built my me for this conversion, like new inside.
The cupboards and units are made out of two different types of lightweight furniture ply,
Vohringer
This is the titanium faced wood.Β Vohringer is a popular and versatile light-weight hard finished veneered ply board, made in Germany by Vohringer part of the V-Group. It is excellent for interior furniture in motorhomes, caravans, campervans and even horseboxes.Β See Grass Routes Leisure Ltd for more details.Β It is expensive but high quality and very light.
Morland-UK
The white faced light weight furniture ply is from Morland-UK, again expensive but high quality and light.Β The 3mm wall boards were also sourced from Morland.
Rear Doors / Sliding door
Have been trimmed with grey 4 way stretchable vinyl (similar to vehicle dashboards).
Windows
Dometic Seitz S4 motorcaravan / caravan windows which have an intergrated blind and fly screen which can join together for a mixture of both.Β They can be fully opened and are double glazed.Β It is a flexible setup, windows can be open with a blend of say 90% blind, 10% fly screen to let air in, fly and bugs out and keep the light out and remain private.Β Or they can be one or the other, full blind or full fly screen.
Battery charger and power management:
CTEK D250SA + CTEK SMARTPASS 120.Β This is high end kit (not to be confused with a Β£40 split charge relay), I was in touch with the CTEK global Sales Manager, he made me aware of this product and what it can do, it could do everything required so was a perfect choice.Β It manages the power sources from the vehicle, solar panel, leisure battery.Β When the vehicle is not in use, it maintains the leisure battery with a trickle charge and also monitors and maintains the vehicle battery.Β Providing the solar panel gets daylight you don’t need to worry about the leisure battery or vehicle battery during the vehicle down periods.Β
Floor
The floor is insulated with 25mm celotex board, an 18mm WBP floor is mounted above it.Β It does not creak or flex.
Thermal / sound insulation
An empty van with no insulation is in effect like a drum, most of the noise is generated from the wheel arches.Β The wheel arches were covered in Silent coat vibration damping mat before being covered in Dodo thermo accoustic foam insulation and then carpet.Β The vibration damping mat was attached to most panels on the van, immediately transforming the noise characteristics of an empty van.Β 25mm Celotex was then attached where possible to flat surfaces, Diall recycled plastic loft insulation was pushed into all pillars/ beams and other areas where possible.Β The remaining areas were covered with Dodo thermo accoustic van liner insulation, quite often over the areas filled with Diall insulation so is well insulated.Β All seams were sealed with Superfoil tape creating a vapour barrier.
The van body is the L3 H2 variant of the Peugeot Boxer chassis (same as Fiat Ducato and Citroen Relay).Β The L3 = the long wheel base version and measures just shy of 6 metres (5998mm).Β H2 = the height 2 variant.
Β
The van has two single front seats each with a seat belt and fold-up arm rest.Β The drivers seat is the original, the passenger seat was from a brand new van a year ago from a company which converts Peugeot Boxers vans into ambulances and did not require the passenger seat.Β
This camper van was designed to be minimalist, so does not have a bathroom, shower or toilet.Β There is plenty of space inside the sliding door should you want to take a portable camping toilet, of which there are several on the market.Β There is potentially space inside the sliding door to build a bathroom.
The main cupboard (titanium colour Vohringer which is to the left of the kitchen unit when viewed from through the sliding door) has a large wardrobe type cupboard which also houses the fuse box.Β There is no hanging rail but could be if you wanted to fit one.Β Below that is the tool cupboard, it can house large leveling ramps and other tools etc or anything else relevant.Β It is ventilated from the bottom of the right hand side out through the floor of the vehicle.Β The bottom cupboard is the electric cupboard, it houses the leisure battery and CTEK battery management.Β It is ventilated from the cupboard front door and also out of the side of the vehicle.
End of converters spec.

The rear lounge seats convert with ease into a large, comfortable, stable bed measuring 183cm x 170cm (6ft x 5ft 6 inches). The cushions are firm and very comfortable, made by a professional caravan upholsterer.Β Β Thermal curtain on a rail behind the cockpit provides insulation and complete privacy in this personal space.
