Campervans for Sale TYSON - TOP RATED EX-RENTAL 🏆 | REBUILT ENGINE 🔧 | OFF GRID ELECTRICS ⚡ | INTERNAL SHOWER 🚿 | 3 BERTH 🛌 | PEUGEOT BOXER L3H2 🚐
Peugeot Boxer L3H2
Engine & Gearbox: 2.2L Diesel with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The engine had a full specialist refurbishment last year by Transit Tech at 170k miles, so it has only done about 15-20k miles since the rebuild
Cab Spec: Air conditioning, cruise control, electric mirrors, and a built-in TomTom SatNav.
Bodywork: Good overall condition following a full exterior Raptor respray over the winter (including the grill and rear ladder). Being an honest, well-used van, there is a hint of bubbling starting around the rear arches but it looks brilliant and gets attention wherever he goes
History & Maintenance: We’ve owned the van since 2018 and put 100k miles on it. It has been maintained regardless of cost with countless new parts over the years—if it ever needed anything, it got it.
MOT: Current MOT is valid until 2nd December.
TYSON: THE LEGEND OF NORTHERN CONVERSIONS IS UP FOR SALE
It is time for Tyson to start a new chapter. If you are looking for an immaculate, unused show pony that’s never seen a gravel road, this isn’t the van for you. Tyson is a well-loved, thoroughly proven, and rugged adventure camper.
We built this van ourselves back in 2018 on an L3H2 Peugeot Boxer base for an epic 3,000-mile European road trip through France, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany (yes, he made it to Oktoberfest). He performed so flawlessly that he inspired us to start our full-time campervan conversion business.
Since then, Tyson has been the backbone of our hire fleet on Quirky Campers. Out of roughly 209 vans, he was the Number 1 best-performing rental van for three years running (2020, 2021, 2022), finished 3rd in 2023, and 5th in 2024. He has conquered the NC500 more times than we can count, hosted two weddings, three honeymoons, one marriage proposal, and even served as a safe home for a firefighter during the pandemic.
MECHANICAL, BODYWORK & HONEST QUIRKS
We have owned Tyson since 2018 and have put about 100,000 miles on him (current odometer sits around 189k). Because he was our flagship rental asset, he has had absolutely everything he has ever needed. Mechanical maintenance has been preventative and zero-compromise.
Full Engine Refurbishment: Completed last year at ~170k miles by the specialists at Transit Tech, focusing entirely on the 2.2L engine. He’s only done around 15-20k miles since the overhaul and runs sweet.
Full Exterior Raptor Respray: Carried out over the winter, including the front grill and rear ladder. The bodywork is good overall, though it does show a hint of bubbling around the rear arches.
Interior Refresh: The entire living space was fully repainted at the beginning of this year, though it does show some expected wear from usage.
The Honest Truth: Tyson is a well-used, honest camper, so he is being sold as seen with no warranties given or implied. To be totally transparent, he’ll sometimes stick out some smoke when you first start him up, but it clears instantly and doesn’t cause any running issues.
