We originally purchased our Citroën Relay Van from a police vehicle auction who used it as a football stadium surveillance vehicle. They had the vehicle equipped as an office on wheels with two commercial air conditioning units which we have retained, and exceptionally low mileage for the vehicles age asit was stored at the football stadium ground and the only real miles it travelled was to be serviced and maintained. It is a 2800cc van, it has 5 gears, and air suspension and 3 seats in the main cab.
The vehicles comes with an extensive service history, the engine is immaculate and is just an all round great runner no matter the weather. The only maintenance we’ve carried out is a new set of tyres and car battery last year, and a brand new starter motor fitted in June of this year. The vehicle will come with a 12 month MOT and recent full service.
The body work is in reasonable condition considering the age of the vehicle. There are a few signs of wear and tear and the new owner could paint or have the vehicle wrapped if they wanted to make it looks brand new again!

It was honestly one of our best purchases as it made trip planning so easy and stress free. It also has HEAPS of other cool features such as live fuel prices, and scenic route mapping.

-Erbascher Airtronice Diesel Heater – One of the best features, the heating is incredibly powerful and economic. It uses diesel off of the main fuel tank, but the inlet is set so that the heating will cut out at a quarter of a tank so you don’t have to worry about running out of diesel and being stranded. We had a high usage need for our electrical setup as we both had iPhones, a Mac book, the TV, GoPro, kindle and various other bits and we planned to live mostly off grid and survive winter. This setup has served us very well, the original setup we had installed was with a lead acid battery however we decided to upgrade to Lithium in January of this year because during the winter months the lead battery just didn’t hold the charge well enough. The new battery has been incredible, it’s only 7 months old and the best upgrade we’ve done.
We had all the electrics fitted and tested by a van conversion company in Newbury, Berkshire. We have all the hard copy manuals for all the equipment which will be provided with the vehicle.
SUMMARY
We bought the Van in 2020, we spent a year 1 and half converting, a few weekends and local trips before finally setting off on our European tour in August 2022.
We have just returned to the UK and the van is now ready for it’s next adventure.
