Vehicle Description

1.9tdi engine (the best on these vans) Diesel, 5 speed. MOT October. Full body respray by chap I bought it off (have photos he sent). He also said ‘top end of engine’ had been reconditioned, he said this included cambelt but unfortunately no paperwork to prove this. A few small age related marks but otherwise in really good condition. I have looked after its every need in the 4 years I have had it. Drives like a dream.

Conversion Description

My much loved VW camper conversion, only for sale because I love van-life so much I have decided to get a bigger van!

This van has literally everything you need and I have spent thousands on a clever bespoke conversion. It’s wanted for nothing in the 4 years I’ve had it. It drives just like a car, it doesn’t feel like you’re driving a van. In fact I enjoy driving it so much I use it daily. I was away in this van in Oct/Nov for 2 weeks around the Scottish Isles and it drove like a dream. The very efficient diesel heater kept it incredibly warm and even dried wet clothes! I also didn’t need to use the electric hookup once, the solar panels and split charge system kept the battery topped up!
Completely Off-Grid.

If you have a dog/dogs I have custom fitted dog guards that fit on the side door and rear doors, and one I designed that cleverly fits onto the bench seat. So the dogs are contained in an area behind the seat whilst travelling as they would be in a car. This seat guard is then easily removable if you want to when you pitch up, so you can have them in the van with all the doors open letting the fresh air in but they are still safely contained. All the guards are very easily removable. I have photos with the guards in place if required.

Although it will be hard for me to part with it, I feel I am ready for my next van-life chapter and my camper is now ready to go to it’s next home and new adventures.

Here’s a list of what it has :-

Lightweight Vohringer ply units.
Leather front seats both on swivel bases
Sliding opening windows both sides with Vantech fitted blackout curtains
110W Solar panel with controller and battery charge monitor.
Diesel heater (with remote control) plumbed directly into fuel tank (so no smelly separate tank to store and fill up).
Split charge system to charge leisure battery as you drive.
Electric hookup
Leisure battery only just over a year old.
MCR trio gas alarm (LPG, Carbon monoxide and ether gas detection)
Waeco CF18 Compressor fridge box
Thetford Qube 345 portapotti
Dometic Smev 9722 gas hob and sink with glass lids.
Mains,USBs and cigarette lighter type sockets.
Bench seats converts to bed in a rock and roll design. (Designed so you can get up and use the loo in the van during the night if you need to. Most swb conversions don’t allow you to do this!)
Ceiling Lights and separate spotlights. Cupboard lights.
Separate table stored neatly away on back door.
Awning rail
VW Alloy wheels with snow/mud Michelin Agilis tyres
Tow bar (only used twice)
Rear reversing camera with night vision.
Lots of storage under bed and in cupboards alongside.
Dog guards if required.

The van itself had a full service in Apr 2021 and is MOTd until October. The man I bought the base van off gave it a full paint respray. He said he was a VW mechanic for 30 years and had reconditioned the ‘top end’ of the engine. He told me this included a cambelt change (that was 20,000 miles ago). Unfortunately I have no paperwork to prove this as despite chasing him for it, I never received it. By then it was too late and I’d already fallen in love with the van anyway!

Yes this van has done nearly 210,000 but if you know your VW 1.9tdi engines (the best engines on these) or if you have done your research, you will know they just go on and on.

Please note minor age related marks only to be expected on a 2007 van.

Because of the mileage and lack of previous service history, I have priced it sensibly.
