We came to Jimmy with a newly purchased already converted van with a lot of technical issues. As novices to van life and with no knowledge of the van’s history, we had limited vocabulary to explain where the faults were, apart from description of what we were experiencing. We were not easy customers 🙂
Jimmy did an amazing job – he spent some time trouble-shooting the van and then rewiring the cables, which solves a lot of our problems. He also installed DCD connection to charge our leisure batteries, a new socket and many other small improvements. He spent extra time on all this, given the inherent unpredictability of trouble-shooting. When I came to pick the van up, he took time to explain all the repairs to me, and answer all my questions. I really appreciated his professional opinion on additional bits – such as the quality of our diesel heater – as we will be taking the van out to Scotland soon. Overall, Jimmy’s knowledge, honesty, diligence and openness to a challenge (as our van is definitely one!) are exceptional. We are saving for future improvements and will be back for sure 🙂
