At Nàdarra (Scottish Gaelic for ‘natural’), we create campervans inspired by the ancient Gaelic principle of Dùthchas – the deep, inherent sense of belonging to and guardianship of the land that we inhabit. Our vans are design-led with a focus on comfort, practicality, and respect to the environment. We are driven to build spaces that immediately feel like home, allowing you to gain a personal and rooted connection to wherever you are, encouraging a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living.
Our expertise comes directly from the road; after spending several years living and adventuring all over Europe in our own van, and in rental vans in New Zealand, we have gained a deep understanding of what a home on wheels needs to be. Our lived experience ensures your final build will be a highly considered nomadic living concept, allowing you the comforts of home, and the best experience possible on the open road.
As carpenters to trade, we have a deep appreciation for bespoke, creative design and maintain unwavering attention to detail throughout the entire process of hand crafting your van. The layout is entirely tailored to your unique lifestyle, and we work closely with you to carefully select every material to ensure the design flows throughout the space without compromise on quality or functionality.
Your ability to completely customise your space is central to our process. We use professional 3D modelling software to design your entire interior, allowing you to fully visualise the space and make final adjustments before any materials are cut.
Bespoke features on previous builds include:
- Additional fold-up seats for extra passengers.
- Electronically powered drop-down beds for hassle-free set-up and pack-down.
- Custom storage designed specifically to house your specialist adventure equipment.
We believe lighting is imperative to good design. In all of our builds, we incorporate creative lighting solutions to deliver a warm, inviting ambience. Carefully selected fabrics for the upholstery also enhance the overall feel, ensuring your new space is truly homely. Every conversion is designed to follow the natural contours of the van chassis, eliminating dead space whilst integrating clever storage solutions and multi-functional furniture, maximising flow and usability, ensuring every square inch serves a purpose and promotes a minimalist, clutter-free lifestyle.
Your van is designed for low environmental impact and self-sufficiency, giving you the freedom to be completely untethered. We incorporate premium components such as robust solar power systems, high-capacity lithium-ion batteries, and smart water/heating management to ensure your nomadic space is comfortable and fully functional year-round, allowing for extended, off-grid travel and ultimate connection to the wild.
