I have a ridiculous desire to go down deep rabbit holes with everything I buy and a campervan was something that I spent a lot of time considering. I knew in my mind what I wanted having watched a million videos online and researched all the materials and systems, but it took a while to find exactly what I wanted. I almost had a go at doing one myself, thank goodness I didn’t!

I found Alisdair and SH online via Quirky Campers and I am so thankful. I knew as soon as I saw the photos that Alasdair was our builder, the attention to detail and materials are next level. I wanted plywood as the core material, there is something so warm and beautiful about it. Alasdair uses this extensively, but not only that – he crafts it with such care, all the details matter and it shows. Everytime you get into the van you feel cocooned in another world and I love that feeling. Summer or winter, its a place I just adore being. The details beyond materials are so well thought out, no corners are cut and everything is premium quality.

Alasdair is a true professional too. From the moment I got in touch all the way through to the current day, we are still in touch. He is a great craftsman but also knows how to communicate and care for his customers. I remember watching the extensive video he made for us about 200 times! He is so articulate and charming.

Wherever we go people love the van. I take friends hiking with me several times a year and everyone loves coming away in the van despite the size. Any festivals we have people wanting to get in and have a look too, it draws the eye wherever we are. Couldn’t be happier with our van! We look forward to many more years ahead and we have already enjoyed 1.5 years in the van on fantastic trips both long and short.
