Beatrix is a 2006 Ford Transit, retired church minibus, with very low mileage for her age (just over 100k now) and well cared for. Now converted in to a happy camper, she can seat 3 (including driver) and sleep 2 adults + 2 children / 3 adults. The fixed double sleeper at the back features a star gazing platform, which pulls out of the barn doors allowing you to sit comfy and take in the views. It also folds up to create a bench seat and provide even more storage space in the rear.
The living area features a comfortable bench seating area which can be used by day for lounging or dining (with the internal collapsible table) and by night slides out to be a comfy sleeping area for 2 children or 1 adult. Beatrix can comfortably seat 7-8 adults for cosy camping natters.
The kitchenette features a 2-ring gas hob (fully gas safety checked with landlord gas safety certificate) and runs off a safely stored Calor butane tank in the boot. Full dining set, serving bowls and platters, tupperware, mugs, glasses, wine glasses, pots, frying pan, cutlery and cooking utensils all provided. The fridge/freezer box has great capacity at 60L and can be used dual zone as one fridge/one freezer compartments or as one XL large fridge unit. It’s fully portable so can be unplugged and brought outside or down to the beach with you for the day. It runs off the mains when plugged in at campsites or off of the leisure battery for around 2-3 days. Shower head in the kitchen sink is long enough to extend through the front door, ready to hose down those sandy feet.
Plenty of storage space up back for bikes, surf or paddle boards, fishing rods, whatever your heart desires. The slatted roof terrace up top offers additional space to relax and enjoy a view or to transport larger items. Tons of secure cupboard storage space, shelving and mini hooks as well as under bench storing in the lounge area.
Remote controlled LED lighting strips throughout in calm white or funky disco brights as you prefer. 4x 3-pin plug points operate when using the external hookup. 2x USB and 1x 12 volt socket run off the leisure battery. Carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher, fire blanket, and first aid kit all present. Thetford portapotty 365 can be included with sale.
Lovingly hand crafted with reclaimed materials and fully insulated with thermafleece sheep wool insulation that naturally purifies the air and helps mediate moisture. She’s really a delight. Reliable and comfy. And ready for adventures! We have loved her dearly.
