Beautiful Off-Grid Camper

Built for proper adventures without giving up the comforts of home, this Citroën Relay L2H2 is a completely unique, high-spec conversion with everything you need to disappear off-grid for a weekend — or considerably longer.

Inside, it feels warm, bright and surprisingly spacious. Solid oak runs throughout the conversion, from the cabinetry and worktops to the smaller details, giving the van a beautifully finished, handcrafted feel. There’s an L-shaped seating area for slow mornings and evening drinks, with a Lagoon-style table that can be moved exactly where you need it.

The kitchen is made for actually cooking, rather than just making a cup of tea. You’ve got a double induction hob, 65L fridge/freezer, recessed stainless-steel sink, mixer tap and separate filtered drinking water. There’s even bespoke wine storage for the essentials.

At the rear is a permanent double bed, so there’s no rebuilding your bedroom every night, while an additional pull-out single bed gives you space for a third person when needed. Underneath the main bed is a generous garage complete with a heavy-duty pull-out tray — ideal for bikes, outdoor kit and everything else you inevitably end up taking with you.

And this van is properly set up for off-grid travel.

A huge 460Ah Fogstar Pro lithium battery sits at the heart of the electrical system, paired with 400W of solar and a full Victron setup including a 3,000W inverter/charger. That means proper 230V power on the road, induction cooking and plenty of capacity for laptops, phones, cameras and everyday appliances without constantly thinking about the next campsite hookup.

For year-round travelling, the Truma Combi 4DE takes care of heating and hot water, while a 92L fresh-water tank, 62L grey-water tank and integrated level monitoring give you plenty of freedom between stops.

There’s also something you don’t find in every campervan — a proper internal 700 × 700mm shower. It has its own sensor lighting and a bespoke self-cleaning shower door, so you can come back from the beach, a muddy bike ride or a long day walking and get cleaned up without relying on campsite facilities.

Two large opening windows and an oversized skylight bring loads of natural light into the living space, while the MaxxFan keeps air moving when the weather warms up. In the evening, dimmable lighting, ambient mood lights, reading lights and touch-sensitive spotlights completely change the feel of the interior.

Outside, 17” Rogue alloys with Alterain tyres give the Relay a purposeful look without making it feel overdone.

It’s a camper that has been designed around actually being away in it — plenty of power, plenty of water, a permanent bed, a proper shower, usable storage and a comfortable space to spend time when the weather isn’t playing ball.

All wrapped up in a clean 72-plate Citroën Relay with 70,000 miles, cruise control, Apple CarPlay, reversing camera and MOT until December 2026.
