We bought the van from Quirky Campers in 2022. The previous owner had converted it from a panel van in 2019; he did all the insulation and woodwork himself, but all other work was carried out by professional outfitters in the UK (window and skylight fitting, gas, water and electrical systems). It is insulated throughout with 25mm Kingspan insulation (walls and floor), soft insulation in wall cavities and sound deadening mats.
We made various changes and upgrades to both the interior and exterior of the van, making it more suitable for 2 people to live and work in it full-time. Similarly to the previous owner, we completed most of the woodwork ourselves, so it is not perfect, but all of the electrical upgrades and gas maintenance have been carried out by professionals. Due to the simple construction and design, the layout could be changed without too much effort if a buyer was so minded.
We have lived and worked in this van full-time for an entire year, 6 months in the UK and 6 months travelling around Europe. The van has been amazing and we didn’t have a single mechanical issue whilst travelling in Europe.
