Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

Hi there, I’m regrettably selling my transit conversion, converted during the first lockdown and it’s been incredible travelling to some stunning places in it over the past year or so. However, I’m taking a new job and moving to London and as a result am looking to sell my van on to someone else who’s going to get some good use out of it. I’ll put all of the information I can think of in this ad, but please feel free to message, call or email to ask for any further info/pictures.

The van:
White Ford Transit
2012 Long Wheelbase Model
Manual transmission & diesel engine
Fully taxed and MOT’d until June next year (passed MOT with no issues and serviced regularly)
Body work is all in great condition
All four tyres have recently been replaced with new Agilis CrossClimate tryes
Extra security deadlocks on side-sliding and rear doors
Pioneer touchscreen console display with bluetooth
Rear reversing cam fitted (synced with Pioneer display, automatically occupies screen when in reverse)

In the time I’ve had the van, it’s had zero issues – it’s been incredibly reliable and consistent and I’m sure it will continue to be so.

Conversion Description

OVERVIEW:
A modern and carefully-converted stealth Transit van. This was very much a personal conversion not intended as a sale, which means there are some human errors and it’s not the perfect professional conversion, but it’s in a really good condition with quality materials used throughout. I have loved being able to explore some incredible places in the UK in the past year, knowing that the van would always be reliable, comfortable and make any campsite feel luxurious. I’ll outline some of the details and fittings below, but feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

ELECTRICS:
– 2x 100w Monocrystalline Flexible Solar Panel. These are ‘temporarily’ fitted on the roof, and have been for the past year, but they can be removed easily to re-fit properly – I always had plans to install a roof rack and roof deck and put the solar on top, but didn’t get round to it. I also have another 2x 100w panels (the same) that can easily be linked up and provide double the input.
– 2x 100Ah leisure batteries
– Pure Sine Wave 1000watt inverter
– MPPT Solar charge controller
– Interior lighting through 6x 12v LED lights (plus battery powered fairy-style lights and remote-controlled LED under-cabinet lighting)
– Fitted by qualified electrician
– There are 4x 12v USB outlets in the wall and 2x 240v AC outlets

WATER & GAS:
– 70L Fiamma water tank fitted beneath the lower cabinets
– Powered by 12v Shurflo water pump and fitted with Fiamma accumulator (feeding into the main sink tap)
– There is no gas in the van so it currently operates on cold water only. I use a portable double stove (can be supplied) for cooking as it takes up less room and means there’s no need for heavy and potential harmful gas tanks in the van

OTHER DETAILS & LAYOUT
– Walls and ceiling insulated with sheep’s wool (and covered with dodo sound deadening panels)
– Floor insulated with celotex board
– At the front of the van there’s some shoe storage with a contained shelf for any smaller items, and a larger open storage area above the cab
– There are also 2 floor-mounted bike racks in-front of the shoe storage for transporting mountain bikes
– The kitchen is made mostly from MDF for durability, and the worktops are solid wood 38mm Ash
– The kitchen area also has lots of storage space. On the left side of the lower cabinets, the top drawer is deep and has space for cutlery and pans etc, whereas the lower drawer contains the fridge/cooler (powered via a 12v socket in the rear). The cabinets under the sink have built in plate storage to keep them from damage during travel, and the cabinets to the right hold the water tank. The upper cabinets are all of equal size and free storage space, 2 with small shelves in that can be removed if necessary.
– The U-shaped seating area at the back of the van has deep storage spaces underneath, accessible from both inside the van and outside from the back doors
– The table for the seating area is also made from 38mm solid Ash wood, and is fitted on a Lagun table mount that swivels in all directions (this is easily removed to make the bed)
– The wall behind the seating area has a beautiful 3D wooden map fitted for inspiration (or marking your travels)
– With the back doors open, the wooden covering lifts up to become an outside table space for cooking or holding drinks etc.
– There is also a 50″ projector screen hung from the front (easy to hang/remove), that I currently use with a wireless projector

I think that covers everything, but please don’t hesitate to ask if there’s something I’ve missed or something you want more clarity on. I’m also fully transparent about the sale and will tell you anything you want to know about it before you buy = no hidden surprises! Virtual and/or in-person viewings are welcome 🙂 Thanks for reading!

Beds Description

The U-shaped seating area at the back turns into the main sleeping area – made from a quality memory foam mattress. There are also heavy-duty eye hooks in opposite ends of the van to hang a hammock for a potential third sleeping spot (or just a nice place to hang).

Rough size of bed:
168cm x 125cm
