Conversion Description

Please see below for what is included in the build:

– Fully insulated floor, walls and ceiling using a mixture of glass mineral wool and insulation board, topped with a reflective bubble wrap vapour barrier. Sound deadening mats applied to the body to prevent unwanted noise whilst driving.

– Kitchen with large sink for washing up, with a solid oak worktop and upstand, and a Thetford Topline 922 two-ring gas hob. Underneath is a 50L Dometic CRX50 compressor fridge with a removable freezer compartment (really is very quiet, even on full power in the summer). Ample storage in the numerous cupboards for pots and pans, and handy downlighting underneath the top cupboards.

– Spacious living area with three seats and a folding dining table. Again, ample storage under the seats, with a hidden chemical toilet on a slide out drawer. A Propex HS2000 blown-air heater provides the heating, and to accommodate even more people the double passenger seat in the cab is on a swivel mechanism and can be spun a full 360°. A 12v cigarette lighter outlet and 6 USB ports provide power to your devices.

– Under the bed and accessed by the rear doors is the garage, where you can find a 13kg propane bottle in its own vented locker, and a spare 3.9kg bottle directly behind. A Camplux water heater is mounted on the opposite side which provides hot water for a shower. The hot water is currently re-routed back to the kitchen where a shower hose can be connected for a pop-up indoor shower, however this can easily be changed to shower at the back of the van without needing any tools.

– The van was built around the necessity of carrying bikes, and in the garage you can find a slide-out bike tray that accommodates two bikes using thru-axle mounts. To the left is a slide-out storage unit to maximise space in the garage and is a hassle-free way of getting to the stuff you don’t usually need.

– The electrics were carefully considered and is specced to be completely self sufficient. Three solar panels on the roof provide a maximum of 480 watts which tops up a 12v 230Ah Fogstar Drift LiFePO4 battery. As this is lithium, you have access to pretty much the entire capacity of the battery, unlike the cheaper leisure batteries. This set up has been faultless and never once have we been even close to running out of power, even on a week long trip to a rainy Wales where the lowest we saw the battery drop to was 80%.

– 75L fresh water and 40L waste water tanks located underneath the vehicle to save as much space as possible. Fresh water can be topped up using a standard garden hose connection, whilst the waste water can easily be emptied over a drain. Fresh and waste water levels can be monitored from the living area electronically.

This van really was a labour of love for us and we’ve done everything we can to care and maintain it. Unfortunately our circumstances have somewhat changed and it’s time for someone else to continue its next adventures.

Thanks so much for looking, and please don’t hesitate to ask me any questions.

Beds Description

Above the garage is a fixed bed with memory foam mattress. Due to the size limitations of the van, the mattress is not quite full length however as the width is nearing almost king-size, there’s plenty of room to stretch out diagonally!
