Volkswagen Crafter 2.0 TDI LWB
Due to recently relocating for work and a house purchase I am sadly selling my
2015 VW Crafter with just over 70,000 miles!
The van has been completely converted by myself from a panel van, to a fully off grid camper van. The van is completely set up for trips to campsites, as well as camping away from any facilities. At the start of the conversion, I insulated and vapour barriered the whole van to keep in warmth and reduce moisture issues. The van has 12v usb chargers for charging phones and tablets and 230V plug sockets for laptops, hairdryers etc, with 3 solar panels, alternator charging, and a plug-in hook up connection to keep the batteries topped up. There is a fixed double bed and a garage section underneath where the electrical system, water system and the gas bottle (in Vented gas cabinet) are all stored, with extra storage space. There is a shower to the side of the bed with an extractor fan led lighting and a shower head with taps entered through a sliding tambour door.
General:
The van has 4 seat belted seats, with two single seats in the cab area, and a double bench seat in the back. There is a removable table secured at the double seat and dimmable led lighting throughout. There is a remote controlled electrically opening reversible fan for extract or induction fitted above head near the kitchen and an opening skylight above the bed.
There is a small double bed (120cm x 190cm) towards the rear of the van, with the option to use 2x fold out Z-beds to make another, slightly shorter small double bed on the floor, next to the kitchen area. This bed measures at roughly 120cm x 165cm.
Kitchen:
The kitchen area consists of a sink with a hot and cold mixer tap, a Thetford triplex gas oven and hobs, a Dometic CRX 50 Fridge, cupboards above and below, with a wood effect worktop. Both upper and lower cupboards have dimmable lights below. Cupboards are also lit internally by automatic sensors.
Electrical system:
Fully kitted out with lithium-ion batteries as well as new Victron components, which can be monitored and operated through your smart phone via Bluetooth.
These include:
– 3 x 100Ah ithium batteries
– Victron Smart Shunt 500A battery monitor
– Victron Multiplus 1600VA Inverter and Battery Charger 12V – 230V
– Victron Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC Charger Non-Isolated 12V-12V 30A
– Victron Smart Solar MPPT 100V 30A
– 3 x 100W solar panels
– 2 x dual USB charger sockets
– 1 x 230V AC charger socket
Heating and Water system:
There is a massive 125 litre freshwater tank secured in the garage section of the van, supplying cold water to the sink and shower, with warm water created by a websto diesel hydronic heater and the option to heat water via an electric water heater on electrical hookup. There is a grey (dirty) water tank mounted to the underside of the van, which can be emptied by pressing a switch inside the van.
There is a water fill gauge for the clean water tank and a tank full light for the grey tank.
There is a coolant loop running around the whole van, heated by the diesel heater. The loop can also be heated by the van’s engine via a heat exchanger under the bonnet. The loop provides hot water via another heat exchanger and hot air through a fan blower box.
Gas system:
There is a gas line running from the thetford triplex oven, under the van, and to a gas locker at the rear of the van where the regulator is fitted. Drop vents have been fitted in the gas locker and under the oven. Gas bottle not included.
Storage:
The van has considerable storage throughout including above the kitchen below the cooker and below the sink with limited storage under 1 half of the bench seat.
Further storage is located along the side of the bed with 3 doors with sensor activated lights and a small wardrobe.
There is an electrical trip box (consumer unit) also in a further cupboard that could be utilised for further storage under the bed near the shower entrance. The main storage is at the rear of the van under the bed housing the Victron equipment batteries and water tank.
Van condition:
The van is in very good condition supporting the low milage but is obviously a used van with age related marks. Under my ownership I have fitted new front brake discs and callipers, new brake pipes and brake hoses, new rear shock absorbers, new rear tyres, new front bumper new 3-piece rear bumper, new rear lights, and rear VW badge. New driver entertainment system fitted with app integration. Satellite navigation and telephone interface. Rear camera mounted on a rear-view mirror to give continuous feed whilst driving.
There is a small double bed (120cm x 190cm) towards the rear of the van, with the option to use 2x fold out Z-beds to make another, slightly shorter small double bed on the floor, next to the kitchen area. This bed measures at roughly 120cm x 165cm.
The contact details for this vehicle are no longer available because it has either sold or the listing has expired.
Quirky loves this style means that Quirky Campers would potentially approve this vehicle for hiring. However, Quirky have not approved a Gas Safe certificate, a Weighbridge certificate, or the vehicle's electrics. Buyers must check these themselves. For some tips on what to look out for read this. If the listing has no Gas Safe certificate, no unladen weight and no electrical sign-off please proceed with caution!
