Van is comfortable to drive and runs smoothly, with a eco run mode the van gets good mileage and still pulls nicely under acceleration. With a 7 speed gear box you couldn’t imagine you have campervan in the back. We have a full service history and its last service was January 2021, there a few minor scratches round the van but nothing you wouldn’t expect on a van of this age. It’s a great vehicle as a whole and is actually quite fun to drive.
The Big Red Van is a fantastic example of what a medium wheel base van can become, inside is everything you will need for your ad’van’ture!
After converting our van the design encorporates all the aspects we love, as well as a few little gem ideas we wish we had. We thinks vans are little houses on wheels, so a laundry cupboard, space for bedding and all the storage you could possibly need is a must.
The set up allows the flexibility of being comfortable ‘off-grid’ as well as being able to conect to ‘shore power’ to suit all requirements. Storage wise, we have learnt alot from our own van with a large cupboard accessible from both inside or outside the van for the possible addition of a toilet. There is also a large ‘garage’ space, where we keep our chairs, fold out tabe, yoga mat, awning and portable shower.
