Mercedes Sprinter 313 MWB
The van just had a fresh MOT – it passed first time with no advisories. It has done 236,000 miles. However, unlike other Sprinters of this mileage, it has been very well looked after. It has had new injectors, a new turbo, new tyres all round and a load of other work since I have owned it. The previous owner also put several thousand pounds into the van. The chasis is totally solid with no structural rust which has recently been checked.
I’ve got partial service history for the van.
I’ve just put in a lot of time going over rust spots on the van, treating them and putting a bit of new paint on to cover them up. It could do with the paint neatening up. It could do with a small bit of cosmetic welding at some point down the line.
It’s a great van for someone to finish of and make their own.
Inside it has been insulated with recycled bottle wool and celotex. It has a pull out full size king bed, with memory foam cushions cut and professionally upholstered. There is a sink and foot pump tap, Dometic two burner gas hob and a good amount of storage space. It is nice and light inside with 4 windows.
I have been using an Eco Flow River 2 for power (which is included) and usb charging lights. However, it was always my plan to add a 12v system to hook up proper ceiling lighting to the power station which is not a big job. There is a good quality 175w solar pannel on the roof (installed by previous owner) but I have never hooked it up (but included are the cables and entry gland to do so).
The conversion is ready for someone to finish including building a couple of benches to (cushions are already cut to size), one or two spots to insulate and a few more little bits. I can provide more info on the work needed to be done!
