Conversion Description

Our camper van “Tucker” is up for sale!

We wanted our camper to be designed around a VW Crafter, not only because of the nostalgic VW campervan scene they are famous for, but it looks, size, and the German build quality. It’s spent most of its time up until the early part of this year, as a commercial van, until we bought it. Unfortunately, we like others had our travel plans disrupted once again and decided to create a beautiful home to go travelling to France in.
Having completed an earlier camper from similar beginnings, we knew what we needed to make Tucker perfect, and went about creating it, hopefully you will agree!

On-board we made provision for 240 V electricity with a system that does not rely solely on the van‘s main battery. However, we fitted a separate system that incorporates two leisure batteries capable of being charged whilst the van is running or via the roof mounted solar panel. A battery condition indicator gives you round-the-clock information of how the system is performing and alerts you if any issues arise.
A truma ultra store combi boiler neatly tucked away produces lovely hot water, via a 12v sureflow pump to the butler sink and to the full-size shower, giving you a perfect, invigorating way to freshen up after a long hike; it is finished with contemporary brick tiling and a top quality 12v shower system to complement the interior.
An on board cassette toilet is provided as you would expect, for added convenience.

On board discreetly tucked away is a 150 L easily refillable water tank , giving you a back up for those times when a hook up is not possible, all water is transferred to an under mounted 50 L waste receptacle with an easy access drain tap.
The cabinets are bespoke with a natural finished Oak worktop and have been handmade to a high standard, totally unique to anything commercially available giving it a luxurious, welcoming and homely feel each time you enter it and with the practicality of ample storage space for the necessities.
Adorning the kitchen are a gas hob and a 12v fridge and USB ports to provide power for your phones. ventilation is provided by a
sliding window and a fully adjustable rooflight with fly screen.

The added advantage of this camper unlike most it is it’s ceiling height, not only does it benefit taller people, it allowed us freedom to enhance the look with wooden panelling, LED down lighters and a great pioneer sound system operating remotely from the vans state of the art Bluetooth system for those chillout tunes.

We knew from experience how important a good bed is. Whilst planning the layout we needed to design something that not only gave us a good nights sleep; but needed to incorporate an easy way of converting the space into a dining area. We achieved this, with a lot of research into the most suitable/durable materials and fabrics to provide this without any compromise to Comfort or Storage. opening the rear doors overlooking a beautiful landscape whilst eating all that time to sleep, it quite literally takes seconds to convert.

The van in its entirety is in great condition and we enjoyed a successful trip around France where it never once let us down.
We sadly have to let him go to a good home, to finance our anticipate trip to the Far East.

I have been as honest as possible in my description I will answer any questions to the best of my knowledge.

Thanks for looking.
